Sugar Wood Rewards — Program Terms
Last updated: September 10, 2026
The short version. Sugar Wood Rewards is free. 100 points = $1. You earn points for buying, for signing up, and for a few things like reviews, follows, and referring friends. You can redeem from 500 points up. One rewards code per order. Points expire after 18 months of doing nothing — earning or redeeming anything resets the clock, and we'll email you before it happens. If an order is refunded, the points from it come back off. Points aren't money and can't be transferred. The full terms are below, and they're the ones that count.
1. Who can join
You need a Sugar Wood account and you must be at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, with a valid shipping address in a location we ship to. One membership per person and per email address. Memberships are personal — no business, reseller, shared, or automated accounts. We may decline, suspend, or close a membership at our discretion.
2. How you earn
You earn points for the actions listed on our rewards page. Purchases earn 1 point per $1 of the merchandise subtotal of a completed order, excluding shipping, taxes, and discounts, rounded down. We don't award points for orders placed before the program started or before you joined. Earning actions and their values are whatever the rewards page says at the time you complete the action, and can change — see section 9.
3. Signing in
Points credited to your account before you've signed in sit on your account and become available the first time you sign in at sugarwood.co with the same email address. You can't redeem points until you've signed in.
4. How you redeem
100 points = $1. The current rewards:
| Points | Reward | Minimum order |
|---|---|---|
| 500 | $5 off | none |
| 1,500 | $20 off | $50 |
| 3,000 | $40 off | $80 |
| 5,000 | One free Woody Waffle Decorating Box | none |
Minimums are calculated on the merchandise subtotal, before shipping and taxes. Redeeming issues a single-use code tied to your account. Codes expire 30 days after they're issued and can't be extended, replaced, reissued, or exchanged for cash. Redemption is final — once points become a code we can't turn them back into points, including if the code goes unused.
5. One code per order
Only one Sugar Wood Rewards code per order, and it can't be combined with another discount code or with an automatic product or order discount. Shipping discounts are the exception: a rewards code works alongside a shipping discount. Our free shipping on orders over $50 is a shipping rate, not a discount code, so it isn't affected by this either way.
6. When points expire
Points expire after 18 months of inactivity. Activity means earning or redeeming; either one restarts the 18 months from that date. Birthday points don't restart it. We send reminder emails before points expire — currently 7 days and 1 day beforehand — to the address on your account. If you've unsubscribed from our emails, you may not get those reminders. Expired points can't be reinstated.
7. Refunds and cancelled orders
If an order is refunded or cancelled, the points earned on it come off your balance — all of them for a full refund, a proportional amount for a partial refund. If you redeemed points on that order, a proportional amount goes back on your balance: the points redeemed, multiplied by the refunded amount divided by the order total. If a removal would take your balance below zero, the shortfall comes out of points you earn later. A code applied to a refunded or cancelled order is void. Refunds themselves are governed by our Refund Policy.
8. Referrals
- Your link. Members get a personal referral link. It's for personal, non-commercial use with people you know.
- Your friend gets $10 off their first order. The code is single-use, expires 30 days after it's issued, only works on a first order placed on a new account through your link, and can't be combined with another discount code or a rewards code.
- You get 1,000 points once your friend's first qualifying order — $50 or more before shipping and taxes — has been fulfilled.
- Referrals that don't qualify. Anyone who already has a Sugar Wood account or has ordered from us before. And yourself: you can't refer yourself using a different email address, name, shipping address, or payment method, and you can't refer someone you share a household or payment method with in order to claim a reward.
- How you can share it. Directly with people you know, including your own social posts. Not on coupon, deal, cashback, or discount-listing sites or forums. Not through paid advertising of any kind, including paid search on Sugar Wood brand terms. Not as unsolicited bulk email, text, or messaging, and not to purchased or scraped lists. No bots, scripts, or automated tools to create accounts, clicks, or referrals. And not in any way that suggests you're speaking for Sugar Wood.
- Automated screening. Referrals are screened automatically for signs of abuse — shared IP addresses, devices, shipping addresses, payment methods, and rapid or repeated signups. A referral flagged this way may be rejected with no reward issued.
- If the order comes back. If the referred friend's qualifying order is cancelled or fully refunded, both rewards reverse: the 1,000 points come off your balance and the friend's code is void.
- Sending an invitation. If you enter someone's email address in our referral form, you're confirming you know them and that they're willing to hear from us. We send one invitation email, and it includes an unsubscribe link.
- Our call. We decide whether a referral qualifies, and we may withhold or reverse referral rewards, void codes, close accounts, and cancel orders where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken.
9. Changes, and ending the program
We may change any part of this program at any time — earning actions and values, rewards and their point costs, minimum orders, code validity, the expiry period — and we may suspend or end it. Changes take effect when posted here and apply to points earned afterwards. If we end the program, we'll give members at least 30 days' notice by email, and you can redeem your available points during that period; anything unredeemed after it is forfeited. If you keep earning or redeeming after a change, you've accepted it.
10. Points aren't money, and can't be transferred
Points are a promotional benefit. They're not property, currency, or a security, they have no cash value, and they remain ours until redeemed. They can't be bought, sold, bartered, transferred, gifted, willed, assigned, or combined between accounts — including within a household or family — and can't be redeemed for cash. Points aren't earned on gift card purchases and can't be redeemed for gift cards. If your Sugar Wood account is closed, by you or by us, unused points are forfeited.
11. Fraud and abuse
We may suspend or close a rewards account, remove points, void codes, and cancel orders where we reasonably believe there's been fraud, abuse, or a breach of these terms — duplicate or multiple accounts, self-referral, false or misleading information, automated or bulk activity, reselling or trading points or codes, exploiting a technical or pricing error, or a pattern of chargebacks or returns. Where we can, we'll tell you before we act.
12. The app behind it, and your data
The program runs on BON Loyalty, a third-party app installed on our Shopify store. How we handle the personal information involved is in our Privacy Policy.
13. The rest
These program terms form part of our Terms of Service, which govern everything else about using our site, including governing law, limitation of liability, and how disputes are handled.
